Your roadmap, your standards
Backlog, priorities, architecture decisions, definition of done and code review standard. The team works in your repositories, your ticket system and your sprint cadence.
Owned by your leads
An offshore development center is a dedicated team that works only for you, a permanent extension of your engineering department rather than a vendor taking tickets. Nexvix recruits, employs and houses it in Bangladesh; you set the standards and the roadmap.
Pods built to your requirementYour tools and cadenceOverlap with your hoursFree consultationThe term is used loosely. Here is the version Nexvix operates, stated plainly enough to hold us to.
An offshore development center (ODC) is a dedicated engineering team in another country that works exclusively for one client, as a permanent extension of that client’s own department. You own the roadmap, the architecture decisions, the code review standard and the hiring bar. Nexvix owns recruitment, employment, payroll, equipment, the office and the HR risk.
The distinction that matters commercially: an ODC is capacity, not a deliverable. You are not buying a project that ends in a handover: you are adding named engineers who stay on your product long enough to know why a decision was made two years ago. That continuity is the entire argument for the model, and it is why it suits ongoing product and SaaS engineering rather than one-off scopes.
You direct the work. We carry the employment.
What it is not: a ticket queue, a body shop billing by the hour, or an agency that rotates whoever is free onto your account this month. If a supplier cannot tell you the names of the engineers who will be on your standup next Monday, they are not offering you an ODC.
The usual mistake is comparing a US base salary against an offshore rate. The honest comparison is against your fully loaded cost per engineer: benefits, payroll taxes, recruitment fees, desk, equipment, software and the management overhead of hiring.
| Cost or risk | In-house hire (US) | Project outsourcing | Nexvix ODC |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base compensation | US market rate | Inside the project fee | Inside one monthly seat rate |
| Benefits, payroll taxes, insurance | Yours | Supplier’s | Nexvix’s |
| Recruitment fee and time to hire | Yours: weeks to months | None | Nexvix’s: you interview finalists |
| Desk, equipment, software, office | Yours | Supplier’s | Nexvix’s |
| Team continuity on your product | High | Low: rotates | High: named, retained |
| You direct the daily work | Yes | No | Yes |
| Employment and termination risk | Yours | Supplier’s | Nexvix’s |
| Scale down without severance exposure | Difficult | Yes | Yes: 30 days’ notice |
| Code committed to your repositories | Yes | Often at milestones | Yes: from day one |
Nexvix quotes one monthly rate per seat that already includes employment, payroll, equipment, office and management. We do not publish a figure here because it depends on role and seniority: ask on the consultation and you will get the number in writing, alongside the loaded-cost comparison for your own market.
Three things sit on your side of the line, three on ours, and the split does not move once the engagement starts.
Backlog, priorities, architecture decisions, definition of done and code review standard. The team works in your repositories, your ticket system and your sprint cadence.
Owned by your leadsNexvix sources candidates against your bar, you interview the finalists, and we handle employment, payroll, equipment, the office and retention.
Owned by NexvixA written overlap window with your working day, attendance at your standup and retro, and a named engineering manager on our side accountable for delivery hygiene.
Owned by bothNexvix builds AI systems as its primary business. That is the difference between an ODC staffed from our own practice and one staffed from a CV database.
Multi-tenancy, billing and subscription logic, role and permission models, onboarding flows, API design and the migration path as the product grows.

A pod is composed for the work in front of you: the roles, the seniority mix and the shape of the overlap. The compositions below are examples of how pods are commonly shaped, not a price list: tell us the roadmap and we will propose the composition, then you change it.
Two engineers and a fractional lead, for one quarter. The honest first step for a first offshore engagement: it proves the overlap, the code quality and the written-communication habit before anyone commits to a larger team.
2–3 seatsMost first engagementsFull-stack engineers, a QA automation engineer and a designer, working your backlog sprint by sprint. The composition for a SaaS product with a roadmap longer than the team you can hire locally.
4–8 seatsContinuous deliveryAI and ML engineers with a platform engineer, for retrieval pipelines, agents, fine-tuning and evaluation. Staffed from the practice Nexvix runs daily rather than from a CV database.
3–6 seatsSpecialistMost pods are none of the above exactly. Bring the roadmap and the gap; we propose the roles, the seniority and the shift, and you adjust it before anyone is hired.
Swap a role, add a seat or drop one on 30 days’ notice as the roadmap changes. A pod that cannot be recomposed is a contract, not a team.
The consultation, the role profiles and the loaded-cost comparison cost nothing and carry no obligation. You keep the written proposal whether or not you hire.
An ODC is a staffing model, not a separate catalogue. Every solution Nexvix offers can be delivered either way: commissioned as a fixed-scope build, or staffed as a pod your own leads direct.
The engineers are the same people, the standards are the same, and the code lands in your repositories either way. What changes is who runs the roadmap: our scope document, or your sprint planning.
Every offshore location has a catch. Naming ours is more useful than a page of advantages.
Bangladesh graduates a large and rising number of computer science and engineering students each year, and the domestic market does not absorb all of them, which is why senior talent is reachable at a rate the US cannot match.
AdvantageThe work Nexvix does daily is conversational AI, retrieval, fine-tuning and automation. An ODC staffed from that practice starts with the specialism rather than acquiring it on your product.
AdvantageClients who succeed with this model put the saving back into headcount or market expansion. Treating it purely as a cost cut tends to produce a smaller team and the same roadmap.
AdviceGMT+6 means a deliberate shift to overlap with US hours. We staff for it and write the window into the engagement, but anyone telling you the timezone is a non-issue has not run one.
Trade-offDecisions made verbally in a US office do not reach Dhaka. Teams that write things down succeed with an ODC; teams that rely on hallway context struggle, wherever the engineers sit.
Trade-offWe would rather prove the model at two seats than sell you eight and hope. A pilot tests the three things that actually fail: overlap, code quality and communication.
Your roadmap, the gap you are staffing, the seniority mix and the overlap you need. You leave with a seat rate in writing and a loaded-cost comparison for your own market.
Free · 45 minWritten role definitions, the technical screen, and the standard a candidate has to clear. Agreed with you before sourcing starts.
Week 1Nexvix screens; you interview the finalists and choose. Nobody joins your team without your yes.
Weeks 2–4Repositories, ticket system, environments, NDAs and IP assignment signed, first ticket inside week one.
Week 5Two engineers, your backlog, your review process. Reviewed at 90 days against velocity, quality and communication.
Weeks 6–18Add seats, keep the team as it is, or end with 30 days’ notice. The code and the IP are already yours either way.
Your callIt costs nothing and there is no obligation. Bring the roadmap you cannot staff and the seniority mix you think you need, or none, and we will propose the pod. You get the monthly rate per seat, the loaded-cost comparison against your own market, and a straight answer on whether a two-person pilot is the right first step.
